  1. Let it burn for at least 2 hours the first time
    \nSoy wax has memory. If you blow it out before the entire surface has melted, it will form a \u201ctunnel\u201d \u2014 and that\u2019s something you want to avoid.<\/li>\n
  2. Trim the wick to 5 mm before lighting
    \nA wick that\u2019s too long creates a large flame, black soot, and uneven melting.<\/li>\n
  3. Place your candle on a stable surface, away from drafts
